Legend shipments up 10 per cent

Legend Group, China's largest computer maker, announced that personal computer shipments in the first six months of this year were 10 per cent higher than in the same period of 2001, without giving a precise figure for the number shipped. The company also reported an actual profit of US$34m for the second quarter of 2002, compared with US$29m for the same period of 2001.
