Lu Huilin, Associate Professor of Sociology at Peking University, on the role that Foxconn’s style of management played in the recent deaths:
"They (the management) weren’t aware of their own responsibility, and only considered this series of events as the staff’s problem. If they realized these tragedies were caused by the company itself, they would be able to improve Foxconn’s management system and operating model."
