The larger screens of the new iPhone 6 line might seem tailor-made for Chinese consumers, but China won’t be among the countries where the smartphone goes on sale September 19, The Wall Street Journal reported. Apple’s Beijing-based spokeswoman declined to comment on the reason for the delay, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, which approves the import of mobile devices into the country, didn’t list the new iPhone among devices approved for sale as of Wednesday. Greater China sales generated USD$5.94 billion for Apple in the fiscal third quarter ended June 28, nearly 16% of its total revenue.
