100 MW Wind Farm at Dabanchang, China
Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone is the home of XJ Gold Wind Science & Technology which is making a 2.5 megawatt wind power generator which is already in the prototype trial-manufacture phase.
That is a serious amount of power and could make a major difference if machines of this capacity are deployed nation-wide.
The company has been in Urumqi 10 years, satrting small and
growing as its command of wind power generation expanded.
Now, it has become the largest wind power generator manufacturer
in China and Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone
has given it the room to expand as it developed.
China’s national initiative has as a target the creation of 20 gigawatts of new renewable energy by 2020.
A research report prepared by Greenpeace, the European Wind Energy Association and the China Renewable Industry Association says that China’s wind energy reserves could exceed all of China’s current power generation.
