Marriott signs new hotels

Marriott now has nearly 7,000 rooms in the Asia Pacific region with another 37 hotels and 9,400 rooms under construction.  

Part of Marriott is Ritz-Carlton, which has a hotel opening in Shanghai-Pudong next year.

There are two JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts-branded properties in Dalian and Sanya.

Later this year the 712-room Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Center will open in Shanghai and there will be two full-service, upscale Renaissance Hotels & Resorts-branded properties in China.

4Hoteliers reported a comment was made by management: “We’ve made considerable progress since opening our first hotel in Asia-Pacific just 20 years ago here with the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong.”
