McDonalds announced that it plans to increase the number of its restaurants in China from 580 to 1000 before the 2008 Olympics begin. The fast food chain will build more restaurants in China than in any other country worldwide this year. McDonalds signed a contract with Chinese basketball star Yao Ming to be its official spokesman in China.
