The court ordered Microsoft to stop selling eight versions of its Windows operating system in China that use the fonts.
Microsoft spokeswoman Joanna Li didn’t directly comment on whether the company had halted sales of the operating systems in China, but said, "we do not expect the ruling to impact product sales".
CNN Money.com reports that, in a statement, Microsoft said it disagrees with the ruling and plans to appeal it. Microsoft said that: "We believe our license agreements with the plaintiff cover our use of the fonts."
However, at the moment the official Chinse version of Windows XP appears to have been withdrawn.
