Missing Hong Kong booksellers said to confess to operating illegal business

Three of the five missing Hong Kong booksellers have confessed to distributing unauthorized books in mainland China, according to state media reports, but could be granted bail pending trial and potentially return to Hong Kong soon on account of “good attitude,” Hong Kong Free Press reported. The booksellers worked at Mighty Current Publishing and Causeway Bay Bookstore, known as sources of political books banned on the mainland. Another of the booksellers, Lee Bo, appears to have indicated to Phoenix TV that he wishes to give up his British residency and thus British citizenship for reasons he did not make entirely clear.
