There were 5.1m new mobile phone subscribers in January, according to Ministry of Information Industry figures. This marked a return to increases of over 5m a month recorded in the first 10 months of last year.
The Finnish phone maker Nokia has forecast that revenues from sales of handsets in Minoru/Imaginechina | China will exceed 20 per cent this year. The company plans to increase its market share by introducing new high-end models.
