Motorola Inc said it had won a contract to supply China's number two mobile carrier, China Unicom, with equipment enabling the company to upgrade its services to customers across 11 Chinese provinces. The contract brings the total value of Unicom contracts awarded to Motorola over the past six months to US$344m, including US$271m already reported, the company said. The latest deal covers equipment that will enable Unicom to expand its high-speed multimedia services and wireless applications.
