MPA, Beijing anti-piracy agreement

Hollywood's Motion Picture Association (MPA) signed an agreement with China's Ministry of Culture and the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television to protect foreign films from DVD piracy during their first run at the cineplex, the Wall Street Journal reported. The first deal between the American trade association and the Chinese government doesn't change China's current piracy law, but sets up a system for the two government agencies to cooperate in protecting box-office receipts.
