My husband and iPod

US President Barack Obama has given the Queen a right royal gift of a personalised iPod during his visit to Buckingham Palace. The iPod is loaded with pictures of the Queen’s visit to Washington and Virginia in 2007.

There are also 40 songs from popular Broadway productions, including The King and I and West Side Story.

In return, the Queen gave the president a silver-framed, signed photograph of herself with Prince Philip who is lurking at the rear of this picture looking double suss.

The Queen already owns an iPod, a six-gigabyte silver model bought in 2005 at the behest of her grandson Harry. It apparently came with its own iPod servant: a royal insider said Her Majesty found downloading songs complicated and a courtier did it for her. That is what I want and need NOW. A courtier who loads my computers.
