The National Basketball Association has formed a joint venture with Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) to develop multipurpose arenas in China, AP reported. The venture, to be equally owned by the NBA and AEG, has long-term plans to develop buildings in several major cities. "We anticipate that in a relatively short order we will have laid out a road map of a dozen buildings or so throughout China," said Timothy J. Leiweke, president and CEO of AEG. "We think of this over the next 20 years, not the next year or two." Neither the NBA nor AEG gave details on when the plan would be starting, or where arenas would be built.
