[photopress:Hailin_Island_1.jpg,full,alignright]Sino Express Travel plans to expand and develop Southern Silver Resort and Beach in Yangjiang.
Southern Silver is located near the Marine Silk Road Museum in Hailing Island (the island is seen in both our illustrations.)
Upon completion, the museum will consist of an exhibition hall on shore and an underground exhibition hall showcasing relics of the so-called maritime Silk Road including the Nanhai No. 1, an 800-year-old merchant boat, and other ancient artifacts.[photopress:Hailing_Island_2_1.jpg,full,alignleft]
The Yangjiang city government, projecting three million tourists to the new museum, is also investing in many infrastructure projects such as new roads and a wind power station.
Sino intends to capture a larger share of the increasing tourism to the area by developing villas and an entertainment complex in Southern Silver.
Southern Silver owns a large piece of undeveloped land and it plans to build detached villas and a main building with a restaurant and recreation facilities in a 3,000 square meter construction area.
The construction project, estimated cost of US$4.5 million, is expected to start in the fourth quarter of this year and it will be divided into two stages.
Sino’s management believes there will be additional annual revenue of US$1.7 million upon completion of both stages.
