Dongguan city in the Pearl River delta area of Guangdong province has proposed that a new expressway be built linking Guangzhou, Dongguan, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, said HKiMail. The proposal, which has not been discussed with the Hong Kong government and is yet to be approved by the Guangdong provincial government, is part of a plan for developing the road network in the delta, at a cost of more than Yn25bn a year.
