New IPR laws considered

The Ministry of Science and Technology is considering new laws aimed at protecting intellectual property rights (IPR) in the fields of biological and information technology.

According to the State Intellectual Property Office, patent protection has already been strengthened in China in the fields of information security, computer software and electronic motor vehicles.

Patent protection programs have been launched across the country to combat rampant piracy and IPR infringements.
