China's Ministry of Health reported a new suspected SARS case in Beijing, a retired doctor who shared a room with a nurse who has been confirmed to have been infected with the virus. China has reported a total of two confirmed and seven suspected SARS cases in Beijing and the central province of Anhui. Speaking in Singapore, World Health Organization chief Lee Jong Wook voiced his confidence in China's ability to control the spread of SARS and praised China's swift reaction to the new outbreak, which originated in China's top virus lab in Beijing.
