Five transport companies in Beijing have agreed to set up a joint venture that will become the biggest taxi company in the city, Beijing Morning Post said. The five include Kowloon Bus of Hong Kong and North China Bus, and the venture will be called North China Bus-Kowloon.
It will remodel North China Bus’s existing fleet of 4,000 cars and introduce modern vehicles equipped with global positioning systems, general information systems and dual-fuel systems. The first new taxis should enter operation before the end of the year.
