Nissan Motor has shown a sketch of its New Global Sedan which is part of the Micra line. The new sedan will have its world premiere at the 8th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition in December. And it will be first launched in China.
One suggestion is for the car to be called the Tiida. There is no guide as to how that should be pronounced.
The new Micra’s architecture is called the V platform, with the letter “V” standing for versatility, as the platform can be used for multiple body types. The new car is the second model to be built on this platform, which also forms the base of the Micra hatchback.
Finance Buzz reports Nissan has released a forecast indicating that the platform will eventually serve as a base for as many as one million vehicles a year.
