The new non-stop flight between Chongqing and Taiwan is expected to facilitate the development of a Taiwan industrial park in Chongqing.

Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Commission has announced  that Air China and Sichuan Airlines will take off respectively on each Friday and Sunday from Chongqing to Taiwan.

It will bring convenient travel to the investors and employees from Taiwan and strengthen the economic relationship between the two sides, officials at Chongqing said.

Chongqing, the most populous municipality in China, has named a zone with Xiyong Taiwan Industrial Park in its Qigong Micro-electronic Industrial Zone to lure the Taiwan-based companies. In fact, the city has approved 785 Taiwan-invested companies to open businesses there by far and has actually gained investment of $330 million.
