Nuclear generators start operation

The first two generators at Shenzhen’s Lingao Nuclear Power Plant have begun commercial operations after passing a series of tests, said Xinhua. The plant is the second largest nuclear facility in Guangdong province, after one at Daya Bay. When complete, Lingao’s four nuclear generators will have a combined capacity of 1,000MW. The second pair of generators is likely to begin operations by the end of the year.
