Olympics to have 100,000 guards

China will employ 100,000 security guards to work during the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, according to state media reports. The size of the security presence for the Olympics will require state owned Beijing Security Services to nearly double its present workforce. In addition to the security guards, China is expected to use police and paramilitary officers to bolster security for the event.
