Almost all the stadium venues for next August's Olympic Games will be complete by year's end, the Wall Street Journal reported. Some 37 venues were built or refurbished for the games. Only the National Stadium in Beijing will not be finished by the end of this year. Since 2002, 620,000 new jobs have been created in Beijing every year, particularly in the construction industry. The city has spent US$13 billion on environmental upgrades and US$40 billion on infrastructure improvements. Most of the spending has been justified by the Olympics.
