Pfizer lawsuit to be heard

Beijing will deal with a Pfizer Pharmaceutical lawsuit over the revocation of it's Viagra patent in 2004, state media reported. Tian Lipu, Commissioner of China's State Intellectual Property Office, said the Beijing Municipal First Intermediate People's Court has accepted Pfizer Pharmaceutical's petition and would deal with it in compliance with the law. "We are confident that Chinese judicial authorities will handle the case in line with laws," Tian said. The patent for Pfizer's Viagra was revoked in China in July 2004.
