Shanghaiist, one of the most popular blogs in the city, points out this gem from fellow blogger ESWN (EastSouthWestNorth): about twenty photographs, courtesy of the city of Wenxue, that depict the early days of China’s economic reform. This was a time when bans on dancing were lifted, as well as rules against finger-counting games and foreign imports alike. The pictures offer a glimpse of a bygone age. Take a look at them here.
