The Communist Party’s Politburo has passed a regulation demanding strict adherence to an existing rule requiring party branches at all organizations and places of employment in China, South China Morning Post reported, citing state media. The Politburo meeting, led by President Xi Jinping, concluded that the effectiveness of China’s core leadership relied on a strong party system, making establishment of party branches in all organizations “an important step to ensure the party’s ideals and policies are implemented,” according to a Xinhua report.
