Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has been named to lead a task force established by the State Council to accelerate the development of China's fragmented energy industry by overseeing research, developing energy exploitation and conservation plans, and advising the Council on energy policies, state media reported. Wen will be assisted by Vice-Premiers Huang Ju and Zeng Peiyan, and the heads of the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of the State Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence.
