Home prices in Shanghai’s Chuansha district, where a Disney theme park is now under construction, rose 24.7% last year, South China Morning Post reported, citing property services firm Shanghai Deovolente Realty. The average home price in the district hit RMB28,331 per square meter at the end of last year, up in contrast to falling home prices nationwide but still short of the RMB50,000 above which prices hover for prime locations in Shanghai. Zhu Ping, an analyst at Deovolente, said the park had provided a huge boost to Chuansha properties, and they were now overpriced.
