Property prices in 70 major cities up again

[photopress:Beijing_property.jpg,full,alignright]Property prices in 70 major cities around the country rose 5.4% year-on-year in April, down 0.2 percentage points from a year earlier, the official Xinhua news agency reported, citing the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).

Prices of new residential properties rose 5.3% year-on-year last month. In both Beijing and Shenzhen the rise was over 10% according to the report.

Prices of existing homes rose 6.1% from a year earlier, while non-residential property prices rose 4.9%.
