Qin Gang, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the termination of Google’s search business in mainland China:
"Google’s choice to end its business in mainland China is nothing more than a company’s individual decision. I don’t think it will have any influence on the Sino-US relationship unless someone intends to politicize it. It won’t impact China’s international image either unless somebody intends to exaggerate it. It is not China’s image but Google’s reputation that will be affected negatively."
