Renault, Dongfeng plan car JV

Renault plans to form a 50:50 passenger car joint venture with Dongfeng Motor in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, according to a Chinese media report. The venture was reported to have a planned annual production capacity of 300,000 automobiles. The deal will reportedly be announced prior to Dongfeng joint venture Dongfeng Automobile Industry Investment's planned initial public offering in Hong Kong.
