China raised US$3.247 billion in venture capital in 2007, 82.7% higher than the previous year, according to a report by venture capital and private equity consultancy Zero2IPO. According to the report, venture capital helped 100 Chinese companies successfully list on various stock exchanges markets in 2007, China Business Net reported (in Chinese). In the private-equity sphere, 64 Asia-oriented private equity funds were launched in 2007, with investment in 117 domestic projects at a total of US$12.818 billion coming from PE funds.
