Soaring global oil prices have affected supplies of oil products, particularly diesel, in many areas of China, Xinhua reported (in Chinese). The wholesale price of diesel has risen by US$13 to US$39 per metric ton since Wednesday because of the short of supply, according to oilboss.cn, an oil circulation information portal. Retail prices of major oil products are not allowed to be adjusted, as they are considered major components of inflation by government planners, said an analyst from Anbound, a local consultancy.
