Ritz-Carlton, the US hotel operator expects to boost its China presence to eight hotels by the end of the year. Two will shortly be launched. One in Shanghai in May and the other in Hong Kong in November.
The 295-room Ritz Carlton Shanghai, Pudong, will be located in the South Tower of Shanghai International Finance Center.
China Knowledge reports that Mark Decocinis, regional vice president of Ritz Carlton, which entered the Chinese market more than 12 years ago, said the company considers China as a crucial business and leisure market.
