[photopress:tileshop.fcgi.jpg,full,alignright]According to the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation (CPSF) RMB470 million (about $60.25 million) will be allocated to 12,000 ‘outstanding’ people engaged in post-doctorate studies between 2006 and 2010.
The most like group to be assisted will be people conducting innovative research and research for public benefit.
A CPSF official said, ‘People who achieve major breakthroughs or show outstanding research capabilities will be granted RMB100,000 ($12,820) as extra support.’
The CPSF had provided RMB193.87 million ($24.8 million) to a total of 12,130 post-doctorate researchers since 1990 when the foundation was established.
