Russia, which is increasingly important to meeting China's growing energy needs, will give priority to China in supplying oil through a planned Siberian pipeline, as the two countries forge energy alliances, China's prime minister Wen Jiabao said. China will import 70 million barrels of Russian crude oil this year by rail and 105 million barrels next year, Wen said. The pipeline's completion is expected in 2010 and is projected to carry 1.6 million barrels of oil a day.
