S. Korea and Japan breach China's defense zone

South Korea and Japan said they sent military planes into China’s new Air Defense Identification Zone without notifying Beijing and would continue to do so, The Wall Street Journal reported. Seoul’s defense ministry said it sent a military jet to the air space around a contested submerged rock inside China’s air defense zone on Tuesday, and will continue to send aircraft to the area. China rejected a request from South Korea to adjust the boundaries of its ADIZ to eliminate overlap with South Korea’s own ADIZ. On Thursday, China sent fighter jets into the zone.
