Satyam Computer Services, India's fourth-largest software company,
has begun construction on a China branch in Nanjing this week, its
largest center outside India, according to AP reports.
Hyderabad-based Satyam's China offices have 500 employees, most of
them Chinese. The software company has support centers in Beijing,
Guangzhou and Dalian. The current expansion will help ease rising costs
in India and develop a base of skilled workers. Satyam has
expanded its markets beyond the United States and Europe to countries
like China, and has plans for a software development center
in Malaysia.
