Google has increased its focus on China by hiring a sales veteran to lead the US Internet search engine's marketing strategy in that country, the company announced in a press release. Johnny Chou has been lured away from UT Starcom, where he was president of China operations for nine years, to take up the post with Google. He "establish and lead Google's sales and business development operations in Greater China," the company said.
