Secret Japan toxic gas plant in North China

Chinese experts have discovered a Japanese wartime poison gas experiment in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, state media reported Tuesday, quoting a researcher into Tokyo's biological warfare. The toxic gas plant and burial pits were located on the grasslands near Hulun Buir city and covered more than 100 square kilometers, according to the Harbin Municipal Academy of Social Sciences. Gas bombs were exploded in pits containing live humans and animals, the researcher said. Researchers who visited the site also quoted a Japanese soldier's biography and Mongolian residents' accounts.
