China’s services expanded at a faster rate in April after a considerable slowdown in March, the Caixin China General Services Business Activity Index showed this morning.
The index, which surveys businesses from finance, marketing, transportation and retailing industries, rose 0.6 in April to 52.9, after its four-month low of 52.3 in March.
The survey suggests the faster expansion was driven by stronger April sales from greater tourism, new product offerings, and generally improved market conditions.
