Shandong to complete first large electric car charge station

Shandong is set to build the province’s first large electric car charging station in Linyi City, state media reported. At a cost of US$3.37 million, the project is due to be completed by May and will be capable of charging 45 cars at a time. Shandong has more than 30 electric car manufacturers and the eastern province is targeting annual capacity of 300,000 electric vehicles by 2015. State Grid Corp said 75 electric vehicle charging stations are planned to be completed in 27 cities across the country by the end of this year. Shanghai, Shenzhen and Wuhan already have car charging stations.
