Shanghai airports getting busier

The Shanghai Airport Authority said passenger traffic, cargo output and aircraft movements at Shanghai’s airports grew 35.9% in September from a year earlier.
The authority said in a statement that passenger traffic at the city’s two main airports, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport, rose 35.9% year-on-year in September to 3.72 million passengers. Cargo traffic increased 11.28% to 276,300 tons.
China.org.cn reported that the total number of aircraft takeoffs and landings grew 18.21% year-on-year to 2,940 in September.
Shanghai Airport Authority is the operator of the city’s two airports which are among the busiest in China.
