"I must stress that we don’t expect housing prices around the Disneyland project to be too high," Han said. Land close to Disney theme parks is typically sold at a premium to hotels and restaurants. Before construction begins on the project, the first phase of which will cost US$3.7 billion, some US$8.8 million must be paid to residents and business owners forced to relocate to make way for the park, which will be one of the Disney’s smallest.
