[photopress:WPCarey_1.jpg,full,alignright]The W. P. Carey School of Business in Arizona has been visited by 35 senior Chinese government officials and executives from major state-owned enterprises.
The officials and executives, part of the class of 2007 in the W. P. Carey MBA Shanghai, were spending five days visiting Arizona State University and Valley business leaders in Arizona, then flying to New York for four days before returning to China.
The program, which has attracted more than 280 senior Chinese executives — including 74 in the current class — is jointly sponsored by China ‘s Ministry of Finance and Shanghai city government via the Shanghai National Accounting Institute (SNAI), a premier national post-graduate training institute.
The partnership between ASU and the Ministry of Finance and SNAI demonstrates an unprecedented level of commitment on the part of the Chinese government. The program, which has attracted many executives from the financial services sector, focuses on financial management and the functioning of capital markets.
