Shanghai sold its largest single plot of land at a record price of RMB1.14bn, with Chungkin Shekou Development Company winning the auction of the 26,788 square metre plot northeast of the downtown Shanghai, according to China News Service. The average price per square metre on the plot amounted to RMB42,556, a first for a city whose property prices continue to soar.
