[photopress:Hydropolis_Hotel.gif,full,alignright]Shanghai will be home to China’s first five-star underwater hotel in 2009 when Shimao Group opens the Shanghai Shimao Wonderland in Sheshan on the outskirts of the city.
The hotel will be built on the site of an abandoned quarry next to an artificial lake and will have 300 rooms above water and a restaurant and several other rooms below. There will also be a shopping center, entertainment and sports facilities.
