Shanghai Zhenhua wins $70m order

Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery, the largest quayside crane maker in the world, has received order worth $70 million from French port handling company Generale de Manutention Portuaire (GMP).

Under the deal, Shanghai Zhenhua will supply the French company with eight quayside container cranes, which will be used at Le Harve and Marseille-Fos ports in France.

CargoNews Asia reports the delivery is set to take place in June, 2010.

GMP, the largest port handling company in France, bought six quayside container cranes from Shanghai Zhenhua in 2006.

Shanghai Zhenhua has a market share of 78% worldwide, and its products have been exported to 73 countries and regions.
