Sharp Corp announced that it plans to establish a liquid crystal panel factory in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, its second in the city. The Japan-based company said it expected to invest US$50 million in the facility. The plant will handle mounting processes for small- and medium-size liquid crystal panels, which will supply mainland demand for the panels by mobile phone manufacturers operating in China.
