Shenhua debuts on Shanghai bourse

China Shenhua Energy nearly doubled on its trading debut in Shanghai Stock Exchange Tuesday, Xinhua reported (in Chinese). The company, China's biggest coal miner, opened at RMB68 (US$9.05) per share, jumping 83.8% from its initial price of RMB36.99 (US$4.93). The miner has issued 1.8 billion yuan-denominated shares and raised a record US$8.87 billion, making it the largest domestic initial public offering on the A-share market.
